“Announcing Interim HSVPOA General Manager“
“The Hot Springs Village Property Owners Association (HSVPOA) Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. John Paul as Interim General Manager, following the departure of our previous General Manager, Charles King.
“Mr. Paul will join the POA staff beginning Monday, February 8, 2021. Mr. Paul brings extensive HSVPOA experience, having served as POA Interim General Manager during the summer of 2020 and previously as POA Director of Golf from 1998 until his retirement in 2016.
“Mr. Paul recently served as the Interim General Manager at Diamante Members Club while a search was conducted for their permanent General Manager. We appreciate that John Paul has agreed to serve in this position as the Board engages in the recruiting process to identify the best candidate to fill the General Manager position. The Board thanks the HSV property owners and POA staff for their continued support as we move through the process.”
Note: we previously had a link to the Village Voice article about this, but they have removed their article and it now comes up as a HTTP Error 404.0 – Not Found.

Were there any others who applied for the Interim General Manager position? If so, who were they, and did the POA Board of Directors interview them?

Having had the opportunity to work with John Paul, during his last stint as interim GM, I must say, “You all are not correct in your assessment of his management style, dedication and commitment.” And, until you have worked day to day with this man, I think you’re off base making negative comments. (But, then, that’s pretty much the MO of many people here.) If you can do better, jump in and apply for the GM position!
