Everyone hates change. We get used to our routines and fall into a “comfort zone” that gets harder and harder to get out of when a change…

Funny but they didn’t do a “survey” of any of us before they embarked on this radical change. My guess is 80% would have voted to keep things as they were and fire the “managers” who have been wasting our money for years.

I understand the part where the driver will not get out of the truck to pick up loose trash from that residence’s POA owned trash can. Who picks up the trash which has been blown out of the moving POA leased trash truck? Just call any BOD and they will rush right out and pick this up right?

Has there been a decision made on how the “one armed bandits” will pick up the trash carts from both sides of the street? Will there be two passes made to pick up from the right side or will all the trash carts have to be placed on the same side of the street?
Also will the vendor supply the trained drivers to operate the hydraulics or will the POA have to hire/train them? What are the chances this scheme will work out to our benefit?–Gene

My questions on this whole process are many, but once a decision is made there always seems to be a lack of detail provided to answer property owner questions. Tom asks why a survey wasn’t done in advance? Good question. Gene asks if they have figured out the logistics. Great question?
How about we go back to the RFP process and start from the beginning. What did the RFP require for specifications. But even before that, where is the financial analysis on what the program is currently costing us? That process is always missing from any project we seem to take on. Then even if an analysis is done, or a proforma is produced, there is little to no follow up and certainly no accountability when the proforma doesn’t even come close. We rush from one project to another, do an incomplete job in the justification process, present, accept and then move on to the next debacle. Please stop running this CORPORATION like a Mom and Pop Operation in rural America. Justification that we had 113 people turned over last year is not acceptable. Fix that problem instead of throwing out the baby with the bath water. WHAT A WASTE!
