Corry made a change in the Current Business. The 2022 budget approval was held off until the November meeting. The reason stated by Corry for this delay was, “primarily so we only have to accept one budget with an assessment or without an assessment increase.” The revised Order of Business was approved.
The Consent Agenda was approved.

A few notable points (you will need to listen to the video to hear all the details):
- Cash and cash equivalent total 15.8 Million at the end of September, up by point 6 million from one year ago.
- Long-term debt has decreased by $610,000 since this time last year.
- Total liabilities have decreased almost $3 Million from September of 2020 – primarily due to the PPP forgiveness.
- Our YTD net revenue is $29,699,423, compared to budget of $26,507,968, reflecting a $3,191,455 increase over budget, of which 3.089 Million is the PPP forgiveness.
- Without the PPP, YTD net revenue is up $102,455 from budget.
- YTD operational expense is $21,834,390, which is $2,709,961 less than budget.
- Overall revenue is up $798,000 without the PPP funds and 3.8 Million with the PPP funds.
- Food and Beverage is less than budget, primarily due to leasing facilities. (She didn’t state the numbers here.)
- Recreation reflects less than budget due to participation still not back to pre-COVID status.
- Expenses month-over-month is continuing to trend under budget.
- Assessment expenses reflect $516,000 increase over 2020 and $696,000 higher than budget.

I just want to say that Cheryl and Joe Dowden deserve God’s blessing and all property owners Thanks for the work they do getting the word out on all things POA. That includes this website, their POG FB group and NextDoor,.
Nobody else does anything close to what they do on a daily basis. That includes anyone on the BOD or any Committee, not to mention the paid POA staff who do most of what property owners do receive. And they do it for free!
If it were not for Cheryl and Joe many of us wouldn’t have a clue as to what’s going on.

We let them control the narrative. Though it is based on what people say they both have a way to put their little jabs in there. They are a huge reason for the negativity in the village

While I’m at it let me also send out a disparaging word to that extension of POA propaganda known as Village Voice. Shame on you for deleting the years of historical links from your website. Biased as it may or may not have been, it was the only readily accessible historical archive of what POA has been doing for years, maybe decades, whether it was good or bad. It is now all gone. Now, most of us, particularly the newer property owners, have no way to look back and figure out how HSV got itself to where they it is today.
Keep this in mind as well: Just a few years ago our POA website has an easily accessible archive of most POA records. This included Board packets (including supporting detail), Board and Committee minutes, budgets, internal memos, and much more. But, between the strive for secrecy and the wonderful new website most all of that is now also gone to the 4 winds. Unless of course you know exactly what your looking for and then jump through hoops such as a written request and having to schedule an appointment to physically go into the POA office. Oh yes, and they can’t or won’t even make you a copy! Sad.

This website has 183 broken links to HSV Voice historical news articles that were purged. I am not sure why this happened, but the history of the village documented by HSV Voice is gone. The historical archives of the old HSVPOA.org website are gone. Some of those documents dated back to 2008. ” Those who don’t know history are condemned to repeat it” means that people who do not learn from the mistakes of the past are going to make the same mistakes in the future. Wait a minute. Did not the paper change ownership, website and apps? Give them some time to get it fixed? They may in fact not have access to the old material. Do not jump to conclusions.
