HSVPOA Board Candidate, Tosha Baggett, has withdrawn from the 2022 Hot Springs Village Board of Director Candidate race, leaving five candidates to fill the four open Board seats. We reached out to Tosha and she shared with us the message she gave to General Manager, Kelly Hale:
“Mr. Hale: I am writing to inform you of my candidacy resignation from the 2022 Village Board of Directors. Recent personal events have created a conflict and I will be unable to fulfill the duties required of me, should I be elected.
“It would be unfair to my neighbors and our beloved community to pursue this endeavor, at this time. I appreciate those that have been supportive of my candidacy.
“Sincerely and Respectfully,
“Tosha Baggett”
Tosha also shared the following with me and gave me permission to share with the community:
“Cheryl, I’m so sorry to have dropped out. I have a whole lot of things to take care of at this moment and would not be fair to everyone if I was not able to give my 100 percent to this Board position. I truly care about what’s happening inside the village; it’s my home. I will continue to read and learn as much as possible to maybe run in the future. Please stay in contact.”

We wish Tosha the best for the future and have a feeling we will be seeing more of her at a later time.

I would like to thank Tosha for her honesty. Being on the Board is a big and time consuming commitment.

Tosha, I was so sorry to hear that things had changed. Your reputation for standing up for what is right was beginning to be heard. I hope that as time permits, you will be able to remain involved and inform villagers of what is going on in our village.
We need a voice that cares.
