In 2018, the Board of Directors proposed 13 changes. … The Executive Summary reads as follows: “The Declaration and Articles of Incorporation amendments modify the 1970’s era community covenants to create governing documents appropriate for communities of today and the future. Updating the Hot Springs Village governing documents will eliminate or replace obsolete and confusing provisions, equalize unbalanced voting provisions, and will tailor the documents to fit the current living experience and expectations of property owners.” … The “Just Vote No” campaign succeeded. … Perhaps we should revisit these proposals.

While there might have been one or two of those proposals you mentioned that had a little merit the majority did not. Besides such changes can’t happen now for several years. Meanwhile the board should figure out how to manage what we have. Unfortunately that doesn’t look promising.

Tom you’re right, the first 12 amendments were designed to give the BOD more power and to deprive Cooper of his rights. The 13th amendment was to incorporate under the “Arkansas Nonprofit Corporation Act of 1993”. As you know we considered recommending a “yes” vote for it but all agreed it’d be less confusing to vote no on all issues.
The 1993 Act has some good features, like allowing the Property Owners to remove a Director (or all Directors) with a vote and creating a list of standards for Directors.–Gene
