The Binefar Addition, consisting of nearly 40 homes, has struggled with inadequate internet since the inception of internet services. All the usual sources have bypassed us because we live on a hill one quarter mile from DeSoto Blvd. At present, the only reliable source is AT&T, a mostly dependable service called Fixed-Wireless that provides varying speeds between 3 to 15 MBps from the towers around our hill. We have yet to experience real speed and reliability.
Our neighbors would most likely jump at the chance to participate in your CF2 program. You may contact us at any time as shown below. Thank you for all your endeavors.

I hope that you are First Electric customers, so you will have the opportunity to subscribe to this service. The difference will be night and day.

For comparison, this month cnet.com published Comcast broadband cable internet service rates that show their central region standard rate for 200 Mbps download speed is at $86 monthly, not including any equipment. Comcast broadband cable upload speeds are asymmetrical, being only 5 Mbps.
Thank you, Cheryl, for putting together so much information for the village. What affects Saline County affects the rest of the Village and this is GREAT news! (It will also add value to lots with access to it.)

I wanted it yesterday but it may be 2023 before it hits our area so I am not going to get really excited about it yet.

I’m the same way. If I get excited too early I’m afraid it will jinx the whole thing. Here’s to being on the nice list for Christmas 2023.

What I do not understand is that ATT already has fiber to their nodes but seem to have no interest in running fiber directly into the home. They would never sell it as low as FE proclaims to do with no increase in rates on the horizon.

Looking forward to getting this service from First Electric. We live near Ponce golf course in a 23 year old home. The only internet service available to us is expensive satellite service. We currently use our Consumer Cellular hot spot.
When our home gets this service it will improve our quality of life and make our home marketable.
Thanks Bob for the written explanation. My husband & I attended the informational meeting at the. Coronado Center,
