On Monday, August 10, 2020, Kroc-Coo’s Rolling Cajun Kitchen held a First Responders’ Appreciation lunch for all the area first responders. (Slide show and short video below)
Danny Goynes and his helper, Marty Millard served up a huge pot of fresh and tasty Louisiana jambalaya to the firefighters, medics, and police officers. Sweet tea and lemonade quenched their thirst and various desserts were supplied by Hot Springs Village People.
Goynes and Millard spent six hours on Sunday chopping up the vegetables and preparing for the feast. Goynes said.
“I loaded up at 5:00 this morning, fired up the pot at 8:00, and three hours later a 20-gallon pot of jambalaya was born,” enthused Goynes.
Goynes said, “We enjoy serving the community and it was well worth it. It’s the least we could do for the Village First Responders. Come see us outside the west gate on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.” Click here to read more about Kroc-Coo’s.
Fire Chief Jason Miller said, ” I would like to thank Danny and Marty with Kroc-Coo’s for cooking for all the first responders. Best jambalaya I’ve ever had. Spending time and talking, they both have the passion for helping others. Thank you guys and keep up the great work.”
Chief Operating Officer, Jason Temple, said, “‘Thank-You’ to our POA emergency services first responders goes a long way. Kroc-Coo’s said it best with a tray of delicious Cajun Jambalaya for our Fire and Police Department staff.”
Millard added cheerfully, “We’re serving those who serve us.”
