No anonymous or fake name posts allowed on HSV People
Going forward, in order to build a better community, anonymous/fake comments will be deleted from this website. If you can’t stand behind what you say with your real name, then maybe you shouldn’t be saying it. Thank you.

Thank you Cheryl & Joe. I’m sure this wasn’t an easy decision and took much deliberation. I believe in freedom of speech but I also believe words have consequences and if you have something to say-own it.
It’s possible to disagree without burning the website down or threatening the opposition and scaring viewers off. The more respect we show for each other the more participation we’ll see. Thanks again for a brave decision—Gene

Good move. I believe there will be less frivolous complaints and more civil posting leading to better discussions, if people have to identify themselves. It’s easy to be mean and out of line when your identity is not known. We need to be kinder to each other, more empathetic, more serious and mature in discussing issues, concerns, and/or wishes. Let’s keep talking, just at a higher level.

Great step to help folks be accountable for their comments.

Rereading “Village-Wide Cellular Coverage” on this website proves civil discourse is popular among Villagers, with 18 responses to the original post. Only one (Astro P) used a pseudonym.
There was some “back-patting” and much “techno speak” but we learned a lot of useful info, plus we got a better understanding of HSV’s real time cellular performance.
Now if we can generate a practical and cost effective study explaining how to fill the General Manager’s position, we’re in business.—Gene

I have to say good for you Cheryl and Joe! But really good for everyone!
And yes, Gene, Mr. LeMay’s Report was a tremendous undertaking, but a labor of Love for the Village he hopes will return to its original vision and intent, with the addition of technology!

Thank you Cheryl & Joe. I fully support your decision. Sadly, the capabilities of social media have been far too often misused by those who indulge themselves by venting their frustrations on decision makers, entertain themselves with spiteful gossip, or promote themselves by passing off opinion or speculation as fact.
