Hot Springs Village 2022 Spring Break Children’s Day Camp

Monday, March 21 – Friday, March 25, 8 AM to 12 PM

Have your kids join the fun with the HSV Parks and Recreation Department Spring Break Children’s Camp. The camp will run Monday, March 21 through Friday, March 25 from 8 AM to 12 PM.

The camp is for children 8 to 12 years old. The camp is open to Hot Springs Village residents, family, and their guests. Your kids will participate in many activities including pontoon boat rides, fishing, arts and crafts, hiking, mini-golf, swimming at the indoor pool, and much more. Registration is $75 for the week or $20 per day.

Please bring sack lunch and drink. Lunch will be provided on Friday, March 25th.

When signing up, leave your child’s name in the comments section of the registration. If you are signing up for individual days, please include the day you are requesting.

Drop off and pick up for children are as follows:

  • Monday – Wednesday at Waypoint/DeSoto Marina
  • Thursday at Coronado Community Center
  • Friday at DeSoto Recreation Area / Clubhouse

  • Pontoon boat ride
  • Games outside
  • Hike Desoto trail
3-22-22 Waypoint Kayak Day
  • Fishing
  • Yoga – Ginger
  • Art
  • Balloons, make a balloon animal
  • Learn how to kayak – weather permitting, 120 degrees rule, 120 rule is water temperature plus air temperature must equal 120 degrees to go into water. If too cold to kayak, then boat ride.
3-23-22 Waypoint Hike Day
  • Hike Desoto trail
  • Learn how to use a compass
  • Art
  • Kayak if not too cold, or boat ride
3-24-22 Coronado Community Center Day
  • Indoor pool, 8:30 am – 10 am
  • Library – art and reading activity
  • Ping pong
  • Hike Coronado fitness trail
3-25-22 DeSoto Recreation Day
  • Basketball and park
  • Bounce house
  • Mini golf
  • Art
  • Volleyball on pickleball court

  • Rain day option or cold day indoors at Coronado Community Center Bldg.
  • Children will need to be dropped off and picked up at the scheduled location daily.
  • Please bring a sack lunch and drink daily.
  • Water will be provided.
  • The last day, 3-25-22 pizza lunch provided.
  • You will be required to sign a waiver for your child.
  • The camp is limited to 20 children.

  • Extra change of clothes
  • Flip flop and tennis shoes

Ginger will be working and teaching daily for the camp. Her background as an elementary art teacher will be a great asset to this camp. There will be always 3 of the HSV staff for supervision of students.
