The Hot Springs Concert Band recently resumed their live stage performances. Due to COVID restrictions, the band was on hiatus for a long sixteen months. Thankfully, that is over and they are pleased to announce the grand finale of their Summer Series Concerts. Summer Series Concert III is being held at Fountain Lake High School Auditorium on Monday, July 26, 2021, at 7:00 p.m.
The band, known to present high-quality live musical entertainment can trace its musical heritage all the way back to 1975. At that time, 20 local citizens formed the CSO Senior Citizens Band under the direction of John Melton, a retired Indiana high school band director.
As the group evolved and younger folks joined, the name of the band was changed to the Hot Springs Community Band. In 2005, the band again went through another name change and it is now known as the Hot Springs Concert band. Through time, the band has consistently provided delightful and entertaining music for the community.
The band hopes you can join them as they perform their larger-than-life Broadway Tunes for your listening pleasure. The final Summer Series Concert is free and open to the public. Donations are appreciated.
