At the January 26, 2022 Board Meeting, Director Pam Avila presented a motion regarding contracting for the services of a Grounds Maintenance Company in the amount of $62,400. This is needed to help with some of the grounds maintenance work in the Village, because of staffing issues. Please see the pdf below for more detailed information.
“The total budgeted cost of the contract is less expensive than adding two full-time employees, a requirement if HSVPOA performs these services in-house,” stated Avila.
Board Vice-chair Tucker Omohundro seconded the motion.
The motion passed unanimously.

“LifeNet ambulances are stationed at the following locations:
Calella Station Area*
Cortez Fire Station
Balboa Fire Station
*The Calella Station acts as our main base of operation inside the Village. In addition to housing our crew, it is also home to the Shift Supervisor and the Director of Operations.”

This is strange. While there is a lengthy and verbose contract of six pages, mostly legalese, and bids from two contractors which seem fairly specific, there is no RFQ describing what was requested to be bid upon.
