HSVPOA BOD “Let’s Talk” Dialogue with the Directors
The HSVPOA Board of Directors held an open-agenda town hall meeting on Wednesday, June 26, from 2-4 p.m. at the Granada Grill, at 250 Maderas Drive in Hot Springs Village. Director panelists fielded comments and answered questions on board-related topics. The panel consisted of Cindi Erickson, Board Chair, Tormey Campagna, Board Vice Chair, and Nancy Luehring, Board Director, and Parliamentarian.
The room was packed with more than 50 people in the audience. Parking was difficult and for some, impossible. The discussion at times was emotional and even became heated.
Numerous property owners voiced their opinions and asked questions regarding numerous POA issues and problems, including a good-sized group from the fitness center. A big thanks to the Directors and Property Owners who attended the meeting.
Interactive participation is limited to 40 members who sign up.

The let’s talk at the Granada April 9th, 2019, has not been published because there were some points made about no bids on the pool that the BOD does not want public. Let’s talk is a one-way town hall communication, the name could be changed to let’s listen if it were not just a stall for time while the CNU’s CMP strangles us tactic.

Last week’s Village Digest, which I received late on Thursday or Friday, stated it was posted. I keep checking back because I wanted to confirm my memory of what I heard about one specific item before I posted anything. As of 3PM on 07-02-19, it’s still not posted.

Question for anyone that understands legal.
Can the governance committee meet and do any business at all when the bylaws have been suspended?

The thing that stands out most from this meeting is the “not my job” attitude expressed very clearly by Cindy Erickson and Nancy Leuring. They have embraced this “corporate” BS attitude totally and it is totally wrong.
Villagers want to be able to tell and discuss with their elected leaders any and every problem and issue they have. It matters not if it relates to personnel, or lawsuits, to gates, or lodges or whatever. And they want to be listened to.
They don’t want to be told that they need to go thru some chain of command and make an appointment with Lesley. If somehow something needs to be changed so that board members listen to the Members then the board needs to fix it. Stop the screwing around and spewing the corporate politically correct BS.
We are adults and not buck privates just out of boot camp. Board members got elected to represent us, not pass the buck back to some staff sergeant employee whose salary we pay.
