Corry Reminds Villagers To Vote in HSVPOA Proposed Assessment Increase Vote

If you have not voted yet in the upcoming HSVPOA Proposed Assessment Increase Vote, you can still vote. Although, with uncertainty with the USPS delivery times, it may be better to vote in person at the Monday, November 15, 2021, Special Meeting. All mailed-in proxies [ballots] must be received by EPG no later than 4:00 p.m. on Friday, November 12, 2021.

Remember, if you sign the proxy and do not mark ‘yes’ or ‘no’, the proxy will automatically be counted as a ‘yes’ vote.

At the November 3, 2021 Board Discussion Session, Chair of the HSVPOA, Joanie Corry said, “… that a Membership Meeting will be held on Monday, November 15, 2021, at 9:00 [a.m.] in the Ouachita Room… ‘

From October 22, 2021, Village Digest Email:

“Instead of mailing your proxy, you may choose to vote in person at the Member Meeting on Monday, November 15, 2021, from 9:00 AM until 4:00 PM, at the Ponce de Leon Center, Ouachita Building, 1101 DeSoto Blvd., Hot Springs Village. If you choose to vote in person on November 15, you must bring your HSVPOA Member card or a government-issued photo ID and your Member number to the Member Meeting. You may bring the proxy you received in your packet to this meeting, or you may request a proxy at the meeting location.”

Further email clarification from Chair Corry revealed:

After 4:00 p.m., no one will be allowed to join the voting line.  As long as you are in line by 4:00 p.m. your vote will be counted.  After all the votes are in and counted, the results of the vote will be announced at the Special Vote Meeting.

All Board Directors should be present at the start and the end of the Special Vote Meeting.

Vice-chair Omohundro inquired if the Directors can come in shifts.

Corry responded, “we might end up doing that. But everyone [all Board Directors] needs to be here to begin it and to end it.”
