HSV Restaurants Held Employee Appreciation Events

Four Hot Springs Village Restaurants held successful promotions to aid their laid-off employees in this time of crisis. While for the time being, shuttered restaurant doors have become a frequent occurrence across the country, some HSV restaurants temporarily reopened to help their employees.

Amid cautionary tales and alarming stories dominating the news and social media since COVID-19 made its ugly appearance, these HSV events were a spot of cheer in these dark times.

The Beehive, Xplore Lakeside, Melinda’s Coffee and Cafe and the Saint at Isabella proved to Villagers that every cloud does have a silver lining by holding successful events for the benefit of their employees.

Xplore Lakeside and Beehive

Xplore Lakeside had a very successful catfish fry on Tuesday, March 31, 2020. This promotion was in support of Xplore Lakeside and Beehive employees. We commend Greg Jones and his crew for a job well done!

Mr. Jones had this to say, “Thank you for the unbelievable support from our Village residents for our employees today during our fish fry. The amount of support our customers provided to our employees substantially exceeded our expectations. We raised over $6000 for our employees today which will go a long way to helping them with their monthly expenses while we deal with the current COVID-19 pandemic. Sorry to those who came by or were in line when we ran out of fish, but thanks for your support. We may try another version of this next week, maybe BBQ. Thanks so much for your support. We are truly blessed to live in such a caring community. “

Melinda’s Coffee and Cafe and the Saint at Isabella

Melinda’s Coffee and Cafe sponsored an Employee Appreciation Day on Wednesday, April 1, 2020. They served up a delicious boxed lunch, consisting of a chicken salad sandwich, tomato bisque, and pasta salad.

The Saint at Isabella also organized an Employee Appreciation Day on April 2, 2020. They served their signature cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, and onion on a bun and a side order of their hand-cut french fries.

Daniel and Alanna Owens, co-owners of both Melinda’s and The Saint said that they raised over $1,200 for employees. We tip our hat to the Owens for their hard work and giving attitude and for the great service their crews provided.

Mr. Owen expressed his gratitude, “The kindness and generosity of The Village have been overwhelming! Alanna and I look forward to the future, with great anticipation and excitement. We are committed to coming back stronger and better than ever. Thank you all, from the bottom of our hearts!”

Hot Springs Village is a special place and the loving and compassionate spirit of the business owners and community members never ceases to amaze us. We would like to thank these generous restaurants for going above and beyond to help their employees. We also thank all the Villagers who showed their support either by purchasing the meals or making a donation.
