HSVPOA Board Emailed Property Owners on February 25, 2022
The Hot Springs Village POA Board of Directors emailed HSV Property Owners on Friday, February 25, 2022, regarding the candidacy of Peter Kirk Denger in the upcoming Board election. Incidents involving Mr. Denger occurred at the Hot Springs Village West Gate on January 24 and 26, 2022, which subsequently led to the removal of Mr. Denger’s HSV Property Owners’ Association Member privileges.
No longer a Property Owner in good standing, Mr. Denger was deemed to be ineligible to be on the ballot for the upcoming Board election. With four Board seats open and only four candidates remaining in the race, there will not be an election, saving the Association thousands of dollars.
The four candidates are scheduled to be sworn in as Board Members on April 20, 2022. Current Board Chair, Joanie Corry, and Board Member Pam Avila will be returning to the Board. Candidates Jama Lopez and Bruce Caverly are not current Board Members, but will also be joining sitting Board Vice-chair Tucker Omohundro, and Directors Robert McLeod, and Gary Belair when they are sworn in on April 20.
Three of the terms are for three years and one term is for only two years, due to the resignation of Director, Chris Jones. If none of the new Directors chooses the two-year term, the newly-seated Directors may possibly decide to draw straws to see who will serve only two years. We will just have to wait and see what the Board announces regarding the two-year term.
After the swearing-in of the Directors on April 20, the 2022/2023 Board is likely to vote on who is to be the Chair, Vice-chair, Corporate Treasurer, and Corporate Secretary.

This is corruption at the highest level. At the very least the election should be rescheduled and an opportunity for additional candidates should be advertised. But, that is not the plan.

One candidate elimination was a “carrot on a stick” and the other elimination was a “spring trap”
