Announcing DD Village Live Lake Camera
Diana and Dennis Simpson welcome you to visit and see our live lake cam 24 hours a day.
The camera is located on the south side of Lake Desoto about midway down the lake.
Many resort areas host cameras like this to show visitors what the weather and conditions are before their arrival… or just for daydreaming about a great memory or an upcoming visit to our paradise.
Generally, over 900 people per month tune in to see what the view is today (and how quickly Lake Desoto is filling up).

Great idea. They had a camera set up behind number 1 tee box at Granada for awhile and then took it down, There is one at Isabella too, They were used for the club house to see if people were on the tee, The Granada site is still there but not working, I thought it was great to show the courses, Should put them back on the internet so people can see the place live.

I have always thought HSV should have at least one, if not more, live webcams – at the lookout and possibly other locations of scenic interest. Brought it up numerous times with past GM/CEO folks to deaf ears. Thanks to people like Dennis being forward thinking and doing it themselves. I’d be happy to host one on my Balboa Lake property which sits on a point looking directly down the main channel to the marina/pavilion. I’ve even got a giant oak tree on the point that would be perfect for mounting. Dennis, can it be wireless?
