HSV Fall Fest & Halloween Activities

Fall Festival Tree in Hot Springs Village

Hot Springs Village is celebrating fall and Halloween on October 31, 2020, with a big day of planned activities. The day begins with a fun-filled fall festival sponsored by the Hot Springs Village POA. Activities include an arts and crafts fair, a live musical performance by Ken Goodman, and a movie in the park.

Come on out for a fun-filled day at Grove Park from noon until 7:00 p.m!

In addition, the Village Police Department is hosting a Trunk or Treat where everyone is welcome.

Last, but not least, the DeSoto Club is sponsoring a costume contest for villager’s best canine friend earlier in the day and a costume contest for villagers in the evening. They are also hosting a prime rib buffet dinner and a Monster Mash Ball with live entertainment by Marcus.

Fall Arts & Crafts Fair

Where: Ponce de Leon Center Parking Area, 1101 DeSoto Boulevard

When: October 31, noon until 4:00 p.m.

Cost: No charge

“The annual Fall Arts & Crafts Fair will be held outdoors this year in conjunction with the Hot Springs Village Fall Fest, held at Grove Park directly next door. Vendor rental space for the fair is still available. For more information and to request an application to participate as a vendor, contact the Coronado Community Center at 501.922.5050 or email chunter@hsvpoa.org. Space is limited so make sure to request your application as soon as possible. No electricity will be available for this event.”

Music in the Park

Where: Grove Park, 1105 DeSoto Boulevard

When: 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.

Cost: No charge

“Bring your friends and lawn chairs and enjoy the evening listening to an amazing performance from Ken Goodman. Ken is an Arkansas entertainment veteran who has received countless awards and accolades as locals and tourists from around the world enjoy his humor, charm, and talent.”

Movie in the Park

Where: Grove Park, 1105 Desoto Boulevard

When: October 31 from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Cost: No charge

“Wrap up the night outdoors in the park with the animated classic “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown.” You can register for an opportunity to take home a decorated pumpkin painted by the Village Art Club.”

Hot Springs Village Police Dept. Trunk or Treat

The Hot Springs Village Police Department is hosting a Trunk or Treat at the Village Police Station. Everyone is welcome. Enjoy!

When: October 31, 2020, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Where: Hot Springs Village Police Station, 113 Calella Road

Cost: No charge

DeSoto Club Halloween Activities

First Annual K9 Costume Party and Contest

Meanwhile, the DeSoto Club is also rising to the occasion and they are hosting their First Annual K9 Costume Contest. All proceeds donated to the Animal Welfare League. Only 50 people allowed due to COVID-19 restrictions. All dogs need current dog tags and a waiver will be signed. First place prize is $100. The second place prize is $50. The third place prize is $25.

Ben E. Keith is donating hotdogs, bratwurst, and hamburgers. Miller Lite is donating two kegs of beer. And the AWL is bringing pasta salad and potato salad. Reservations required. To reserve your spot, call 501-915-0007.

When: October 31 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Where: DeSoto Club Patio, 100 Clubhouse Drive

Cost: $3 for hotdogs, $4 for bratwurst, $5 for hamburgers, and $3 for beer. All money taken in will go directly to The Animal Welfare League. A K9 Costume Contest will be held at Noon.

Prime Rib Buffet

Costume Contest

When: October 31 – Buffet will be served from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The costume contest is at 8:00 p.m. The famous Marcus will be playing from 6:00 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Menu: Prime rib, Champagne Chicken, wild rice, mashed potatoes, candied carrots, and green beans. There will also be assorted cold salads and a dessert bar. Beverages are not included.

Where: DeSoto Club, 100 Clubhouse Drive

Details: Reservations are mandatory and no walk-ins are allowed on Halloween Night. There is only seating available for 80, so make your reservations now by calling 501-915-0007.

Costumes are recommended but not required. The first-place winner will receive $100, second place $50, and third place $25.

Cost: $19 plus tax and gratuity – beverages not included
