Thursday, February 10, 10:00 AM
Coronado Community Center Auditorium
HSV Audubon and HSV Parks and Recreation Department invite you to join them on Thursday, February 10 at 10:00 a.m. at the Coronado Center Auditorium to hear Emily Stubblefield tell the story of the American Bald Eagle: their history, legacy, and their comeback.
You will learn about their habitat and the unique characteristics that make them so majestic.
Attendees will have the opportunity to sign up for an Eagle Tour at Lake Ouachita in February. The lake provides remarkable habitat for wintering bald eagles.
Each year, juvenile and mature eagles can be seen among the trees along the shorelines or soaring high above the lake during the lake tours.
Emily Stubblefield is a Park Interpreter II at Lake Ouachita State Park, having joined as their park interpreter in April of 2021. She has been with Arkansas State parks since 2019; she started her career as a seasonal interpreter at DeGray Lake Resort State Park. She has combined her passion for being outdoors and helping others through her career choice. Seeing visitors make a lasting connection with the natural resources around them and make lifelong memories in the Natural State is what inspired her to step into the world of interpretation.
An Invitation to Join HSV Audubon Society
If anyone would like to join Audubon while they are at the presentation, we would love it. HSV Audubon Society informs Villagers with many presentations throughout the year, fun bird counting trips into the field and then there are somewhere you can count from the comfort of your home.
The Christmas Bird Count we have dinner, except Covid has ruined that for the last 2 years. The dues also help support an ecology camp during the summer for youth in the area. We have Bluebird boxes for sale and we also have a birdseed drive during the year.
