Introducing Band Members

Fonky Donkey combines the masterful guitar playing of Gil Franklin, slide and resonator guitar, and blues harp by Ben Swamp Donkey Brenner, the crack percussion of Lance “Bug Tussle Slim” Womack and Lynn Fitzgerald on bass. The songwriting talent of Brenner, Franklin, and Womack create new, original foot-stomping blues music that will take you from Dylan and the Delta to deep in
Donkeyland.

First recognized as a powerful, new presence in blues and roots music following their performance on the main stage at the 2019 King Biscuit Blues Festival in Helena Arkansas. They will once again take the main stage at the Festival in October as the opening act in October 2021.

Fonky Donkey released their critically acclaimed first record, “The Sabatoteur” in 2020. Their latest record “Donkeyland” has just been released in May. Fonky
Donkey will also perform at the Delta Arts Festival in Newport Arkansas, the Riverfront Blues Festival in Fort Smith, The Railyard Roots Review, and Music Festival. Fonky Donkey performs regularly in Little Rock and throughout the South.
