What restaurant in the Village has the strangest name? I would have to say that it is the Blue Elephant Grill, at the Granada Golf Course (250 Maderas Drive). I am here to tell you that there is nothing ‘strange’ going on in their kitchen … they are putting out some of the finest food in the area! I have been there for lunch and dinner (Yum!!), but this was our first time going to their Sunday brunch.
We got there shortly after they opened, at 10, and there were already quite a few folks there. By the time we left, it was almost full … that’s a good sign.
Don’t judge anything by the amount of food on MY plate … I am not a big eater and can never take full advantage of a buffet, but Tom made up for my comparatively small portions (grin).
They had a full array of traditional breakfast items, as well as smoked chicken legs/thighs, mashed potatoes, and green beans if you were in the mood for lunch. Oh, and there was peach cobbler, for dessert. I can say, without hesitation, that everything we had was delicious.
As we were getting ready to hop back on our motorcycle for a little Sunday morning ride, I took a quick pic down the 18th hole … beautiful, even in the Winter. They surely have one of the prettiest views in the Village!
Final thoughts … the Blue Elephant Grill … Go, eat, and enjoy … anytime !! Check them out, online, for their menu and hours.

I read your letter regarding the thefts at your restaurant and I forwarded it to everyone in my Wednesday Golfing group (95) and ask them to forward to all of their friends in the Village, it’s disgusting to think we have people like that living here.
